Outdoor metal pergola in the garden of a hotel

Construction of three pergolas for the outdoor dining area at a seasonal hotel.

The challenge consisted of providing shade to a large area, distancing ourselves from possible proposals that might give a feeling of over-construction to the onlooker.

The aim, therefore, was to find lightweight solutions suited more to outdoor rather than indoor areas, and closely linked to the garden and surrounding nature that is of considerable scenic beauty.

Splitting it into three modules, in three pergolas each of a different height, helps offer a more pleasant, natural sight, in harmony with the desired appearance.

The pergolas have been constructed with a minimum diameter of oxidised and stabilised iron, in accordance with the wish to have a minimum impact on the landscape. The vegetation is expected to eventually colonise the pergolas in the form of a green roof canopy.
