Interior design and new layout of an apartment for a family with three children
Complete renovation of an apartment in Madrid's Justicia district
This project concerns the comprehensive renovation of a property in the Justicia neighbourhood, located in Madrid's central district, for a family from abroad with three children who wish to stay for long periods in the capital.
The apartment has two façades: one facing Santa Teresa Street, which is very pleasant, and the other facing an interior courtyard of the building itself, which has less natural light and is of little interest.
Naturally, the priority of the project was to situate the living-dining room and an open-plan kitchen so that they face the street façade. To achieve this, the kitchen was relocated and a partition wall that originally divided the living room space was demolished.
The bedrooms, bathrooms and laundry room are located in the inner part of the property, and in the rooms facing the interior courtyard.
The colourful furnishings counterbalance the predominantly white colour of the apartment.
