Remodeling of urban space in Sabadell

Remodelling of the most emblematic urban nerve centres in Sabadell. It entails a very valuable urban axis that must be developed appropriately. The first decision was to eliminate the traffic in the area of intervention, allowing only residents and service vehicles right of access.

It sought to restore the traditional model of the public space with dual planning that combines two types of areas: a tree-covered soft plane with earthy materials featuring benches and a children’s playground, generating an urban corridor which runs lengthwise along the space, and harder plane featuring granite in the remainder of the spaces, where the unitary image of the complex is afforded by the new granite paving slabs.
